Esteve Gonzàlez Cuxart, awarded for the best Final Degree Project at the Catalunya Construcció 2021 Awards

On October 22, he received the 2nd prize for the best Final Degree Project of the CGATE 2021

The CAATEEB, with the support of the Council of Associations of Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers of Catalonia, annually announces the Catalunya Construcció Awards.

The aim of these awards is to make a public recognition of the main professional functions related to the execution of the building construction works, by distinguishing people, individually or as a team, for their professional or business performance in relation to a work of reference. The awards are given to the Directorate of Execution of the Building Construction, Integrated Project Management, Coordination of Safety and Health, Intervention in Existing Building, Innovation in Construction and Final Degree Work, in addition to the Special Award for Professional career.

Esteve González Cuxart, a graduate of the EPSEB (UPC), is currently a firefighter for the Generalitat de Catalunya. The TFG for which he received the award deals with the spread of fires in the facades of interior courtyards of buildings, and was led by professors Ana Maria Lacasta and Pilar Giraldo, both members of the Fire Lab at the EPSEB.

The jury for the 18th edition of the Catalunya Construcció Awards was made up of David Garcia Carrera, doctor of architecture and structural consultant; Josep Maria Oller Lletjós, technical architect; Elisabeth Magán Samper, technical architect and production director of Maheco Constructora; Pau de Solà-Morales Serra, architect, doctor in design and president of Arquinfad; Carme Domènech Garcia, technical architect, security coordinator and member of the Governing Board of the Girona Association of Surveyors; Marcos Barjola Borrego, technical architect and member of the Governing Board of the CAATEEB and Celestí Ventura i Cisternas, president of the CAATEEB and also president of the jury.
