Esteve Gonzàlez Cuxart wins the 2nd prize for the best Final Degree Project at CGATE

This work has been directed by professors Ana Maria Lacasta and Pilar Giraldo, members of the Fire Lab at EPSEB.

The awards, given by the General Council of Technical Architecture of Spain (CGATE), rewards the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) of graduates in the  Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Building Construction throughout Spain. The aim of these awards is to highlight the work of students in the realization of the TFG of the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Building Construction.

For the 2021 call, the second prize was won by Esteve Gonzàlez Cuxart, a graduate of the EPSEB (UPC), who is currently working as a firefighter for the Generalitat de Catalunya, with a TFG on the spread of fires in façades of interior courtyards of buildings, led by professors Ana Maria Lacasta and Pilar Giraldo, members of the EPSEB Fire Laboratory.

This work has also been selected as a finalist in the best TFG  of the Catalunya Construcció 2021 Awards in its 18th edition. The Catalunya Construcció Awards are organized by the Barcelona Association of Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers (CAATEEB) and are given every year on Construction Night. This year, out of a total of 101 nominations, the Jury has chosen 17 as finalists in the different professional categories.
